Mil-spec buffer tube assemblies for all AR platforms available.
The buffer assembly is required for completing your AR-type rifle or pistol lower. Whether you built an 80 percent receiver or grabbed a stripped lower from an FFL, all buffer assemblies and tubes listed are compatible! That includes 9mm, 5.56, .223, .308, 6.5 builds, and 300 BLK. Each buffer tube we sell is manufactured in the U.S.A from forged (7075-T6) aluminum, and finished with the tried-n-true Type III Hardcoat anodized finish that matches your upper and lower.
Commercial vs. mil-spec buffer tubes explained.
Each buffer tube kit includes all the parts required for installing and completing your lower assembly, with optional stocks and pistol braces available depending on your AR's configuration:
The latch plate, located at the rear of the lower receiver and underneath the buffer tube, is the perfect place for installing a single-point or two-point sling. This location provides an easy transition between the low- and high-ready positions for a shooter in any stance, and it allows your AR to hand vertically at your chest and waist when not carried. Grab the awesome-but-affordable QD plate from Sylvan Arms, and pair it with any QD swivel sling for a comfortable and convenient carry solution.
It's easy! You'll need an Armorer's Wrench to properly tighten your buffer tube via the castle nut. Grab an Armorer's Wrench here. Next, check out our guide that shows how to install your lower parts kit. The buffer installation is part of this process and it only takes a few minutes.
