What are Magpul QDM studs?
They're improved quick-detach swivel studs. They replace the top-mount button and spring with a stronger lock, reducing the chance that excess force will rip the QD stud ball from the socket on your latch plate, stock or brace, or handguard. The ball bearing itself is tougher, and the side-mounted release button is both easier to use and provides a lower profile stud that reduces sling roll-over.
